This 6 week summer research program will run from June 24 to August 1 and will involve research in various fields of STEM such as chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, computer engineering, chemicalengineering, and bioengineering with faculty and graduate student mentors.
We have come a long way since Darwin published his concepts, and engineers and scientists have borrowed the concept of ‘survival of the fittest’ and applied it to engineering biological systems for industrial applications. The ChemicalEngineer , IChemE , Royal Academy of Engineering and The Scientist are notable examples.
Chemicalengineers and computer science majors are two examples of high paying entry level jobs. Those with a degree in biological sciences can work for a pharmaceutical company, study in a research lab or teach biology at the high school or college level. STEM careers often offer higher initial salaries than other jobs.
Electrical Engineering: Deals with electrical systems, electronics, and technologies related to power generation, transmission, and communication. ChemicalEngineering: Addresses processes involving chemicals, materials, and reactions to develop products ranging from pharmaceuticals to fuels.
This technique enables Joanna to study samples from the millimetre to the atomic scale, meaning that she can consider the chemical states of materials in much finer detail. Chemicalengineering with Professor Sven Schroeder. Computational tools are used throughout the pharmaceutical industry.
