The 2024 CSTA conference was the best one ever for me. It was wonderful to catchup with old friends and to talk to many people I had never met before. CSTA is about community for me so an in-person conference is the dream for me. The sessions were also good and I learned a lot. The Thursday keynote was outstanding and I hope it was recorded. It was that good.

The scholars visited Amgen , a renowned biotech company in Cambridge, MA, on Thursday for their first field trip. Marybeth Rockett , a YSP alumna, graciously hosted the group at Amgen. The students were divided into two groups and guided by staff members through various sections of the research facility.

“e” inc.’s Summer Science Discovery Program offers week-long camps for ages 6-12, August 12-30. This program includes both fun and educational activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises, and explores topics ranging from natural forces to means of transportation. The camp costs $450 per week and runs from 8:30AM-3PM, with a daily optional aftercare until 5:30PM.
The Harvard Museums of Science & Culture are offering weeklong half-day courses for students entering grades 4-6.
